چکیده

Stochastic multiobjective acceptability analysis (SMAA) is a multicriteria decision support method for multiple decision makers in discrete problems. In SMAA, the decision makers need not express their preferences explicitly or implicitly. Instead, the method is based on exploring the weight space in order to describe the valuations that would make each alternative the preferred one. Inaccurate or uncertain criteria values are represented by probability distributions from which the method computes confidence factors describing the reliability of the analysis. In this report we present the SMAA-2 method, which extends the original SMAA by considering all ranks in the analysis. In situations, where the ‘elitistic’ SMAA may assess large acceptability only for extreme alternatives without sufficient majority support, the more holistic SMAA-2 analysis can be used to identify good compromise candidates. We consider also situations, where partial preference information is available.

Classifying Alternatives in SMAA Using Cross Confidence Factors

Stochastic multicriteria acceptability analysis (SMAA) is a family of methods for aiding multicriteria group decision making. These methods are based on exploring the weight space in order to describe the preferences that make each alternative the most preferred one, or that give a certain rank for a specific alternative. The main results of the analysis are rank acceptability indices, central ...

Solving New Product Selection Problem by a New Hierarchical Group Decision-making Approach with Hesitant Fuzzy Setting

Selecting the most suitable alternative under uncertainty is considered as a critical decision-making problem that affects the success of organizations. In the selection process, there are a number of assessment criteria, considered by a group of decision makers, which often could be established in a multi-level hierarchy structure. The aim of this paper is to introduce a new hierarchical multi...

A Compromise Ratio Ranking Method of Triangular Intuitionistic Fuzzy Numbers\ and Its Application to MADM Problems

Triangular intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (TIFNs) is a special case of intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) set and the ranking of TIFNs is an important problem. The aim of this paper is to develop a new methodology for ranking TIFNs by using multiattribute decision making methods (MADM). In this methodology, the value and ambiguity indices of TIFNs may be considered as the attributes and the TIFNs in compa...

Soft Computing Based on a Modified MCDM Approach under Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

The current study set to extend a new VIKOR method as a compromise ranking approach to solve multiple criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems through intuitionistic fuzzy analysis. Using compromise method in MCDM problems contributes to the selection of an alternative as close as possible to the positive ideal solution and far away from the negative ideal solution, concurrently. Using Atanasso...

An integrated model of fuzzy multi-criteria decision making and stochastic programming for the evaluating and ranking of advanced manufacturing technologies

Investment appraisal in advanced manufacturing technologies (AMTs) has been receiving considerable attention over the past three decades. As stated in numerous studies, traditional engineering economic methods cannot adequately justify investments in AMTs. Thus, beside these methods, some other solutions have been proposed in this field. The methods applied in the evaluation of AMTs can be clas...
